We are very fortunate to have among us Vidwan Sri Diwakar from New Zealand to start our long awaited Carnatic Vocal classes.

Sri Diwakar is a disciple of the well-known vocal masters Gana Sudhakara Sri A. Subba Rao and Gana Kala Nidhi Sri Sundareshan as well as Veena masters Sri C. Krishna Murthy and Sri Shankar Rao. Sri Diwakar has been teaching vocal and instrumental music for several years and formally founded and registered the school of Carnatic music called “Swara Raga Sudha” in New Zealand. He is also the founder member of NZ Carnatic Music Society and played a key role in propagating Carnatic music in New Zealand.

Sri Diwakar is highly proficient in Vocal Music, Veena and Harmonium and he has offered to teach all three at SMV at our premises in Victoria Park.
